About Rob

With years of perspective, personal experience and a passion for helping others, I am dedicated to guiding individuals towards personal growth and fulfillment. Through my coaching, I aim to empower and inspire individuals to become the best version of themselves, and overcome the failures of the past. My mission is to Restore Fatherhood.

I grew up in a typical Catholic middle-class family through the best decades in recent history - the 70’s and 80’s. I have two olders sisters, and we had a myriad of animals living in our house, from dogs, to birds, guinea pigs and frogs.

My faith has always been the center of my life. I attended our local Catholic Church and I went to the Catholic grammar school attached to the church.

I went to public high school and it was the first time I was challenged with thinking that was very different than what I was used to growing up. I found my niche of friends, was involved in the choir and plays. I always played the big, dumb characters in the plays for some reason.

When I got to college, I was challenged yet again with new ideas that were different than my own. Fortunately, I connected with a Christian group on campus run by The Brotherhood of Hope. After testing the waters for a while, I solidly connected and invested in this group. They were my friends, those I did everything with, and eventually lived with a group of guys.

I’m glad I connected with them, since that is where I met my future wife, Karen.

I liked her, much sooner than she liked me. Something about me being just too goofy for her……

We dated, got engaged and got married. We had four fantastic kids over the next few years and our life was full. My amazing wife Karen decided to homeschool the kids, which was a huge decision, which all of us appreciated.

In the mid 2000’s Karen started having issues with her eye, which could be an early symptom of Multiple Sclerosis. We prayed and hoped for the best. Over the next few years, it became evident that she was developing MS. We continued to hope and pray, but nothing we tried helped her and she continued to decline.

She was in an out of the hospital and rehab numerous times, until December 2016 she went into the hospital and did not return home until August of 2017. At this point, she was bedridden, and needed help with everything - from sitting up, to eating, to getting ready for her day.

We never knew what was going to happen. She had several other hospital stays and continued to decline. Finally, in late 2021 she went home to the Lord. I am very grateful to have my faith, and to be surrounded by family and friends through that time. My family and friends are where I lean on for support, and they lean on me.

If you made it this far, you may be asking, why is he telling me this?

When I was younger, I needed to grow up - physically, emotionally and spiritually. Each milestone was another growth opportunity from dating and marrying Karen, having children, dealing with all of the issues and blessing of life, and having Karen decline and die.

I have been associated with The Brotherhood of Hope pretty much since I graduated college. The Brotherhood has an amazing outreach to college students and young adults. They asked me to get involved to mentor and coach men in college, and young adult professional men.

With my perspective and experience, I have something offer these men. We discuss life choices, challenges, dating, jobs, spiritual life and so much more. I am grateful to be in a position to offer myself to them to help them grow.

In addition, I have met young women and couples in all states of life.

The very things I offer them, I am offering to you. It brings me great joy to be in a position to help and to be a father figure to many people.

I am journeying through life, just like you. I have my ups, downs, wins, losses, good days and bad days. I can recognize my talents, and I know my areas of weaknesses. God knows I am far from perfect.

Hopefully this gives you some insight into who I am, and how we might be ablle to journey together.
